It hasn’t been changed very much from the old model, but there are a few modifications that we have to post about. Now, the car can reach a top speed of 200mph, with those tiny modifications, like the redesigned camshafts, more displacements and a bump up in the compression. As a design improvement, the team has changed the hood and also this helps at better aerodynamics.

Also, the 2008 Viper has new tires and better shocks and springs, especially designed to fit the car and the tires. The engine is now displacing 8.4 liters, 0.1 more than the older one and the cylinders have been increased with one millimeter in diameter each. Along with the cylinders, the valves have also been increased in size to increase the horsepower to a whopping 600, 90 more than the older model.

The V8 engine is now cooled through the CNC-shaped ports and combustion chambers and has a valve timing system. It’s throttle bodies are now borrowed from the Dodge 4.7 liter V8 engine and now it’s compression ratio is 10.2, from 9.6.

Now, with 90hp more, the car needs a new differential to control them, so they have changed the old TR56 with a new TR60 six speed manual box. The 600hp V8 powered Dodge Viper reaches 0-to-60mph in less than four seconds.
