An inside rumor has the Detroit arm of ad giant BBDO laying off 120 workers this coming Friday, the 7th, while Campbell-Ewald supposedly comes under the axe the following Friday, November 14th. We're not too surprised about BBDO: With Chrysler as its main source of revenue — and that source of revenue possibly drying up in the very near future — the Troy firm was bound to feel some pressure. Campbell-Ewald handles Chevrolet and some GM CRM accounts, so we're not sure where the cuts will come in that agency. Anyone on the inside care to elaborate?
